a little pop

pop art has been around and loved since the 60's but i still contuine to be fascinated. the lightheartedness of it, the way a deeper message can be sent with such a simple image, the color and the whimsy; all of these elements make pop art something that will forever move me. stay tuned for more....

these pieces were created for a design company that converts old material into decorative art.
they are part of a series and are accommodated to various objects such a old LP records.
all parts of production use recycled goods.

some personalities that my mind created.
these are all characters that we have all seen before but as all things in life do, changed.
a distorted way to view what we are so accustomed to seeing in one way, presented in another.

a few examples of portraits i have worked on.
i like the classic look of a family portrait combined with a pop twist.

digital art

these works were made first by hand using indian ink with watercolor and then digitalized.
I would love to hear opinions!
